E Pluribus Unum

Out of many, one.

Well, it's been very difficult uniting anything or anyone into one! I recently united many springs, pins, machined aluminum, steel, plastic, and polymer into into a really awesome AR-15. All of these different pieces function completely differently and not one of them can substitute for another. I took each piece and very specific instructions, but I united them together. They are now one. It isn't perfect yet, but it's really close. I'd like to add a sling, eventually a red dot sight, maybe a flashlight or a laser. The interesting thing is that I can add those pieces without changing the planned function or purpose of the AR-15. Yes, this is an analogy to the constitution.

The constitution is made of very different pieces and not one of them is alike. No, you can't substitute the 3rd amendment and quartering of soldiers for the 1st article about the legislative branch, they're not equal and it doesn't work. All the pieces together form our great constitution. Duh you say... Why is he blathering on about different parts of the constitution? Well, many people pick and choose their piece of the constitution as if it were a menu at Chili's. Yes, I'd like two servings of Freedom of the Press (1st) and a side of no cruel or unusual punishment (8th). Any dessert? No, I'm kind of full, I don't need the right to bear arms (2nd).

Like Glenn Beck recently said (paraphrased), when I leave my house I take all of my rights with me, all of them, that includes my gun.

I'm not actually going on about how important each and every piece of the constitution is, they are important. Rather I want to address the many constitutional groups out there that pick and choose pieces of the constitution that they're nutso over. The press and whiny liberals stress the need for freedom of the press and speech, to the extent that they believe they have some sort of constitutional right to privileged communication, they don't. These same groups completely ignore the freedom of religion as it was intended, for the gov to stay out of it, not force atheism down our throats. While I love the NRA and what they do, they too forget the rest of the constitution. Often they miss the point behind the second amendment. The Bill of Rights is to protect us from the government, not for us to hunt, but for us, We the People, to maintain our liberty. The second amendment is specifically for assault weapons and to take back our liberties from our oppressive government, yes, Janet, I'm talking to you too!!!

Climbing down off my soapbox a little, yes this blog is my soapbox. We need to look at the constitution and abide by it. It is the very directive instruction on how to put this country together. I didn't use an instruction manual on a Remington Nylon 66 .22 caliber long rifle to put together my AR, nor should we look to Europe, Asia, Africa of the freakin' moon to figure out how this country is supposed to function. The constitution is our guide! All the little groups need to pull together a little more so we can get this country back on track. We need somebody to stand up and say every piece of it is important, and if it was left out it was left out for good reason. Yes, the founding fathers left out the Department of Education and the Bureau of Land Management for a reason. The only person I currently see pushing all of our rights and pulling for our liberty is Glenn Beck, but he is a media personality, not to say he can't move into the political realm, but if the past is any indicator it is not likely that he will.

Who will do this for us?

Thoughts on Freedom


It's the first of July, the month that we as Americans celebrate our Freedom... It is often
confused with just our freedom from Britain and
the rule of King George. It is much more
significant then that.
To quote from a document that was written
just about 233 years ago, I know, what use could a document that old be???
"When in the Course of hhuman Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God...
"WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness -- (now comes the important part) That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Govenment, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Yes, this comes from the Declaration of Independence. I want to talk more on the unalienable rights that are talked about, specifically Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Declaration states that Governments are instituted among us to secure these rights, I'm not sure about what you see and your perspective, I don't think that is what our Government is doing today.
Many state Governments and politicians are working hard to take away your right to life, one way is through limiting your ability to defend yourself using your 2nd Amendment right to "Keep and Bear Arms" (that means to have really cool big guns). It doesn't mean a hunting rifle, it means assault weapons and handguns that are meant for the shedding of human blood. Second there is an outright assault on babies through abortion, "it's a freedom" or a "right to choose." I'm 100% pro-choice -- let me clarify for you -- did you choose to have sex? You know what the consequences are and you accept them all. "I didn't want to have a baby." If you didn't want AIDS but get that instead you can't abort it... it's called responsibility freaking deal with it!!!
Liberty -- everyday I watch us lose more and more of our freedoms. Taxation, what doesn't the Government tax? The Government is going to help us decide what's best by taxing us into doing what they want. Last time I checked being forced to do something against your will was called Slavery, doesn't seem much like Liberty to me. What about all the stinking traffic cameras going up everywhere, whether they are for just monitoring traffic or sending you a speeding ticket, it's still big brother Government watching what you're doing 24/7. Many ask, "what's the big deal? I'm not breaking the law?" No you're not breaking the law and you won't get a ticket, but what about all the new laws they create to micromanage your life that you can't get away from. Like you have to wear a Star of David if you're a Jew, well, I just won't wear it and they won't notice, however they know just by your license plate.... yes, seems paranoid, but the possibility is there ---- What about the fact that I can't drive from Tucson, AZ to San Diego without being stopped at 3 to 4 Border Patrol checkpoints and being treated like a common criminal.
The Pursuit of Happiness is very dependent on the first two.
That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right f the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. It's time to act! Our Government is destructive to these ends, it's both political parties. They need to be reigned in and tossed out on their ears. We need to take a more active roll in our private and political lives. make your Congressman/woman, Senator and the President, contacts in you email, send them detailed email listing out the liberties and freedoms you want back. Help them remember that they are there to do our will not make us do theirs. They are our servants, not our masters

Share You Thoughts

Hello and welcome to my first of many entries.

The last few weeks I've started to really question what I can do to have a positive effect on this country, and the people with whom I come in contact. Share and share alike!!! What do I mean by that? Well, we each hold certain truths to be self evident, those truths need to be set free. By sharing with those around us we help each other to awaken to the startling realities of the world around us. Everyday we lose more and more freedoms. Our liberties are slowly sucked away in the name of equality and fairness, also known as Communism. It is by these flaxen cords that we will be dragged down to Hell. Help educate one person everyday, help them to think of what we're losing.
